The trainer for the operator of the “FAGOT”/9K113 “Konkurs” anti-tank missile system is designed for training and practice of operators in classroom conditions with the aim of developing and maintaining stable skills in performing shooting exercises in various conditions.
The system makes it possible to study the location and use of the ATGM controls, practice searching for and detecting targets, aiming, tracking and launching missiles in accordance with the Firing Course. Training is supported in various conditions: three types of terrain (moderately rough, desert, urban), different weather effects (rain, snow, fog) and times of day (day, twilight, night). Battlefield visualization is provided with display of explosions, smoke, fires and other effects, as well as realistic movement of targets taking their characteristics into account.
The trainer is distinguished by a high degree of realism thanks to: accurate reproduction of the workstations and controls of the system; detailed visualization of targets and terrain; modeling of various tactical situations. The system automatically evaluates the operator's actions, records errors, stores the results of all training sessions and makes detailed analysis possible. Printing of results and duplication of the operator's field of view for group review are supported.
The package includes: the operator's workstation with a full set of simulators (mount, elevating-traversing mechanism, ground control equipment unit, launch rail with transport-launch container, 9Sh119 sight-aiming device), as well as the instructor's workstation. The trainer provides realistic reproduction of all stages of work with the system, from searching for targets to assessing shooting results. The instructor can: select training conditions; observe the trainee's actions; monitor the parameters of the selected target; conduct a review of exercise performance with a group. All elements of the trainer are supplied ready for use and make it possible to practice the full range of skills in using the “FAGOT”/9K113 “Konkurs” ATGM in various tactical situations without using real ammunition.
