The TIGR special police vehicle driving trainer is designed for teaching practical driving and for improving the driving skills of the driver of a special vehicle. The training methodology corresponds to the driver training program for categories “C” and “C1” with the requirements of the driving course and the driver training program. The trainer simulates working conditions in various road and weather conditions, reproduces the visual and sound environment, and also the dynamic loads on the trainee corresponding to the current position of the vehicle's controls.
The trainer makes it possible to practice all aspects of operating special vehicles: from basic skills of working with the controls to complex maneuvering in urban conditions and on rough terrain. It provides training in emergency braking, evasive driving, driving in a convoy and other special techniques. It supports training in any weather conditions (rain, snow, ice) and in various visibility conditions (day/night/twilight). A dynamic platform with six degrees of freedom accurately conveys the behavior of heavy special vehicles during acceleration, braking and overcoming obstacles.
The complex is distinguished by increased realism thanks to: accurate reproduction of the TIGR cab; a physically correct vehicle dynamics model; a system for simulating special signals and communication equipment. The automated assessment system records all driver actions, including reaction time when performing special maneuvers. Special attention is paid to practicing actions in extreme situations typical of operational work. The trainer is certified for use in training centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other law enforcement agencies.
The instructor is able to: program various operational task scenarios; simulate abnormal situations on the route; perform an objective assessment of the trainee's actions with a detailed report. The system supports recording and subsequent review of all training sessions. The complex can be integrated with other trainer systems for conducting comprehensive exercises. All equipment meets the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and safety.
