The KAMAZ truck trainer is designed for teaching practical driving and for improving the driving skills of truck drivers. The training methodology corresponds to the driver training program for categories “C” and “C1” with the requirements of the driving course and the driver training program. The trainer simulates working conditions in various road and weather conditions, reproduces the visual and sound environment, and also the dynamic loads on the trainee corresponding to the current position of the vehicle's controls.
The trainer provides: familiarization with the controls and instruments of the vehicle; practice of actions with the pedals and control levers; performing standard exercises (pulling away, gear shifting, braking, turning, reversing); overcoming various types of terrain (mountain, lowland, desert); driving in urban conditions and on the highway in various visibility conditions (day/night/twilight) and weather conditions (summer/winter). A dynamic platform conveys realistic sensations of motion, braking and overcoming obstacles.
The trainer is distinguished by a high degree of realism thanks to the accurate reproduction of the KAMAZ cab and the behavior of the vehicle on the road. The automated monitoring system records all actions of the trainee, evaluates driving technique and identifies errors. Reports with an assessment of exercise performance according to the requirements of the Driving Course are supported.
