The AGS-17 grenade launcher operator trainer is designed for training and practice of operators of the AGS-17 automatic tripod-mounted grenade launcher in an environment close to modern combat, with the aim of developing and maintaining stable skills in detecting and identifying targets, determining target characteristics, aiming, determining the moment of firing, firing single grenades or bursts of grenades, and assessing shooting results without expending grenades and the technical life of combat equipment, in classroom conditions.
The trainer provides: studying the design of the AGS-17 and the PAG-17 sight; practicing battlefield reconnaissance in conditions of interference; firing at static and moving targets up to 1,700 m; determining target parameters and firing priorities; aiming practice in various terrain and weather conditions (day/night, winter/summer). The full cycle of working with the grenade launcher is supported: preparing for firing, selecting a target, aiming, firing, assessing results.
Realistic simulation of combat conditions with visualization of: three types of terrain (moderately rough, desert, urban); weather effects (fog, rain, snow); visibility conditions (day, twilight, night); battlefield effects (explosions, smoke, fires). An automatic action assessment system with error recording and recommendations. The ability to analyze and print training results.
The package includes: the instructor's workstation, an AGS-17 grenade launcher simulator, equipment for panoramic visualization, a spare parts kit and transport packaging. The instructor can: select visibility conditions and weather; demonstrate the trainee's actions to other cadets; duplicate the shooter's field of view; display target parameters. The system stores the training history of all trainees, making detailed analysis of results possible. All elements of the trainer are supplied ready for use.
